Routinely collecting, quantifying and identifying ferrous wear debris from machine oil systems is one of the most cost effective condition monitoring tools available. It is also highly complementary to Vibration Analysis. The self-sealing nature of these magnets means that no oil is lost during sampling (machines can be sampled “live”) and with a simple adapter they also provide an excellent oil sampling port.
